Hello, my name is Sheila. I am the Chief Fiber Artist/Crochet Executive Officer and designer behind The Blackberry Hook. TBH is a black woman owned, handmade crochet and fiber arts business. TBH was established in 2021 out of my love for all things yarn. I create crochet accessories and home décor items with an emphasis on textured stitches and bold colors. I will also be designing crochet themed bags, notebooks, bookmarks and more focusing on black and brown representation.

In my former life, I studied Community Health education and Public Health receiving bachelor and master’s degrees. I spent most of my career in Public Health research conducting data entry, data management and data analysis.

I have been crocheting for over 20 years and crafting from a young age. I love to crochet for family and friends and thought why not share my love with the rest of the world! I am also a proud yarnaholic! I’m almost certain that it's a requirement to obsessively buy tons of yarn and horde it like a squirrel gathering food for the winter.

I love to do all things crafty. Current craft hobbies: crochet, knitting, sewing, creative writing and paper crafting.
